Consulting ‘Baltic Chemical Complex‘ on legal and commercial matters in the EPC project for the construction of a polyethylene production complex with a projected capacity of up to 3 million tons per year in the Kingisepp District of Leningrad Region. The project’s cost exceeds 11 billion euros. This project of the Baltic Gas Chemical Complex (GCC) in Ust-Luga is a part of the ethane-containing gas processing complex (which includes, alongside the GCC, the Ust-Luga Gas Processing Complex) — a large-scale program for the deep monetization of ethane-containing (‘rich’) gas, carried out by PJSC Gazprom and AO RusGazDobycha in Ust-Luga. The project, implemented in two phases, will utilize the most advanced production technologies, including two ethane pyrolysis units with a capacity of 1.4 million tons of ethylene per year each, and six polyethylene production units with a total capacity of up to 3 million tons per year.
Consulting for the Russian-Korean contractor, “OMZ-Daelim,” within the scope of implementing an EPC project for the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and transshipment terminal in the port of Vyssotsk, Leningrad Oblast, with a capacity of 660,000 tons of LNG per year. The “Cryogas-Vyssotsk” plant is the third major Russian enterprise for LNG production (the other two being the “Sakhalin-2” project plant and the “Yamal LNG” plant). The complex located within the Vyssotsk port area comprises three main components: an LNG production plant with a capacity of 660,000 tons per year, a gas pipeline connection from the main gas pipeline “Leningrad-Vyborg-Border” spanning 43 kilometers, and jetty structures for LNG loading.
