On March 30, 2018, Elena Stuart, Managing Partner at Stuarts Legal, conducted a seminar titled “Risk-Free EPC Projects” in Astana for colleagues from the law firm UNICASE, as well as for a representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
During the seminar, participants analyzed cases related to minimizing risks for general contractors in situations where performance guarantees are not met due to subcontractor faults; the presence of design errors at the FEED stage by subcontractors and the consequences of such errors when designing according to European standards; and various other issues, including risks associated with the use of FIDIC proformas in Russia and Kazakhstan.
